Using the quote maker

Making a quote by hand is slow. You add up every line, then redo the total each time a price changes. ArbTask keeps your prices saved and does the math for you.
The quote lives inside the job. You build it from saved articles and existing customer information, and you can send it before you leave the site.
Create a quote
To create a quote on ArbTask:
- Tap the card of the job you want to create a quote for
- Scroll down to Offer
- Tap Manage Offers
Add a line
A quote is made of articles. An article is one thing you bill for: tree work, climbing and rigging, brush removal, a call-out fee, transport fees, you name whatever you charge customers for.
To add a line:
- Tap Add Row
- Tap the article field and pick a saved article
- Set the quantity
The price fills in from the article. The line total and the quote total update on their own. As you go, ArbTask shows the running total, the VAT, the amount excluding VAT, and the final To Pay.
Save a price only once
Set a price when you create an article, and every later quote pulls that same price. No re-entering rates job after job.
To save a new article:
- Tap the article field
- Scroll down
- Tap Create new article
You can also reorder lines with the up and down arrows, remove one with the delete button, and add a discount with Add Discount.
Customize the quote
A quote is built from blocks you stack and arrange. Tap the plus button to add one:
- Heading and Text for your own wording
- Line Items for the priced rows
- Organization & Customer for your details and the customer's
- Map for the job address
- Attachments for photos
Drag a block to move it, so the quote reads the way you want.
Send it from the site
When the quote is ready, tap Send at the top. Build it on your phone and send it before you leave, so the customer has it the same day.
See what the customer does
Once a quote is out, you can see when the customer opens it, comments on it, or accepts it. The status on the job updates as that happens.
